Tasks and Responsibilities:
The QC Inspector shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Departmental Management
• Carry out inspection and communicate results of offered stages in time.
• Ensure dimension & quality of product as per respective QAP/Weld
Plan/NDE Plan and Drawing.
• Interaction with TPI for getting the stages approved as per QAP.
• Arrange to ensure use of calibrated measuring and monitoring devices.
• Identify the in-process Non-conformity and arrange for disposition as per
code or customer specification requirements.
• Ensure completion all NDT and other testing required in the equipment.
• Preparation of documents for QC dossier in time and maintenance of
records as per set retention period.
Organizational responsibilities
• Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible
solutions.
• Ensure implementation of ISO 9001 for continual improvement.
• Suggestion to revise work instruction and procedures pertaining to
inspection and testing in line with international Standards from time to time.
• Ensure proper inter departmental co-operation
• Carry out spot check for critical operations

Task and Responsibilities:
The Engineer Production shall be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Through Put:
• Work allocation to workmen and provide the workmen necessary
instructions through an approved Job Card.
• Prepare and maintain Job Card for various activities in workshop including
Job Card for welding.
• Update documents with latest revision.
• To prepare production performance report (Shift wise) of workmen with
respect to production norms and to be submitted to the heads.
• Withdrawal of welding consumables, raw material required for projects from
stores
• To prepare micro schedule of equipment & its implementation to maintain
target date for delivery of equipments given by planning
• Ensure welding activity is carried out as per approved WPS, Welder
Allocation chart, List of qualified welders
• Ensure completion of various production stages as per ITP/QAP/NDE plan.
Offer it for inspection to QC Engineer through a Job Card after verification
• To prepare advance shift plan
• To prepare shift schedule for workmen (Weekly base)
• To identify the material and maintain its status during fabrication and final
inspection. To maintain traceability of identification (Stamp transfer).

• To make work station with labeling for material storage and implementation
of color code on each components.


Innovation and Newness:
• Train the workmen for Multiskilling of workmen to ensure that each workman
has at least 3 skills.
• Create a linear flow of items in the shop floor so that the material handling is
reduced to a minimum and components do not crisscross between stations.
• Follow the standard procedures for each operation to minimize the cycle
time, delays and reworks.


Housekeeping and safety:
• Maintain good housekeeping on the shop floor with clearly marked aisles
and properly labeled workstations and material storage areas.
• To establish a safety environment on the shop floor.
Processes and procedures, implementation of TQM and TPM:
• To implement ISO 9001 in all the manufacturing processes.
• To reduce rework to a minimum by having root cause analyses.
